Dalek Adverts from TV Century 21 Comic:

  • » In 1964 and 1965 Dalekmania hit the UK, the Daleks were, for a few heady months, the hottest property in toys, comics, books and television. Although the BBC were slow to take advantage of the commercial opportunities the Daleks represented they had, by 1965, licensed a large amount of Dalek related merchandise. One of the best remembered items of Dalekmania is "The Daleks" comic strip that ran in TV Century 21 for 104 issues. To tie in with the mid 1965 release of the "Doctor Who and the Daleks" film TV 21 produced an issue that was "jam packed" with Dalek and Dalek movie related items, adverts and articles. The comic was dated July 31st 2065 (in reality 1965!) and numbered 28. (See directly below for links to all the Dalek Adverts from issue 28 of TV Century 21.) [view]

  • » Advert for Marx Dalek toys "Daleks Have Invaded Toyshops"! Includes details (and pictures) of Battery-operated Dalek, Friction drive Dalek, Dalek Rolykins and Dalek Bagatelles. A truly "fabulous" advert! [view]
