The following is a list of our policies and guidelines for using the Comment @ Cuttings Archive - all users are expected to follow these guidelines.

Please be aware that anyone posting comments that we deem as inappropriate (see Rules of Behaviour below) will be warned once and their post comment will be removed, if any similar comment is posted by the the same person again they will be IMMEDIATELY BANNED from commenting!

Haloscan, who run our commenting facility, log the IP address of everyone who adds comments (a unique identifying number for your computer) and we have the ability to block any IP address from making further comments. We may also report any abuses, particularly extreme personal attacks, threats, racism or hate speech to your ISP and any other relevant authorities.

When posting here, please take time to consider the relevance of your comments to the areas of interest covered on the main website and the items posted on the Comment @ Cuttings Archive page.

The posting form includes fields for Name, E-mail Address and URL. Please use your real name or a consistent nickname/handle when posting here. The use of different nicknames/handles or 'anonymous' may annoy other users and makes it appear that the poster has something to hide. You do not have to fill in the 'Email' field. The administrator is Roger Anderson, who is free to delete comment threads or individual postings at his discretion and without warning. However, this sort of administration is time-consuming, so please make life easier by making sure you follow the posting guidelines outlined above - those who consistently do not risk being banned without warning.
