Here's a mixture of websites all dedicated primarily to non-web based fan endeavours, some related to excellent fanzines and some fun/humour based sites.
Kasterborous - UK Doctor Who Webzine - a beautifully designed site that includes articles, beginners guides, a forum and much more than we can list here. The site put's the emphasis on quality content and graphics - some of the latter are the best we've seen anywhere on the web (or off the web for that matter!). Highly Recommended [view]
Oh Mummy - The story of Sutekh's story - the website that covers the production of the very funny comedy sketch included on the BBC Worldwide DVD release of the classic Tom Baker story, Pyramids of Mars. Lots here including production diaries and some nice downloads and a little dickie bird tells us that some of the images from the initial fast cut sequences in the production were from this very site - have you spotted them? [view]
Shockeye's Kitchen is the excellent website for the brilliant UK fanzine which manages to mix irreverance and laughs with some seriously good coverage of Doctor Who - details of back issues are available on these pages. [view]
Time Space Visualiser (TSV) Webpage - TSV is New Zealand's oldest and most popular Doctor Who fanzine, it is published two or three times a year and issues contain articles, letters, artwork and comic strips, news and fiction. A nice site for an excellent fanzine, well worth a look and well worth getting hold of a copy or more! [view]
Doctor Who fan Club of Australia (DWCA) - Data Extract Archive. Data Extract is the DWCA's bi-monthly magazine, was first published in October 1980 as The Australasian Doctor Who Newsletter (it did not acquire its current name until issue 22). Twenty-three years and nearly 170 issues later, it is still going strong. This page features some downloadable (in Adobe Acrobat PDF format) archived copies of Data Extract - a fantastic resource!. [view]
The Doctor Who Information Network (DWIN) - Enlightenment Fanzine. In Canada The Doctor Who Information Network publish the excellent, and award winning, bi-monthly 'zine Enlightenment. Their website lists back issues and articles and offers you the chance to buy issues online with PayPal - an invaluable feature! [view]
Skonnos - the website for the 1980's fanzine edited by author and journalist Mark Campbell. Some very interesting articles in the archive. You can also order signed copies of Mark's latest book here. [view]
The Doctor Who Fanzine Preservation Project (Earthbound Timelords). The goal of the Doctor Who Fanzine Preservation Project (DW-FPP) is to collect and archive Doctor Who print materials (especially fan and semi-professionally produced works) for the purpose of academic preservation and resource loss-reduction of primary and secondary research materials (due to their documentation of the series' fiction and production, as well as public/fan reaction or opinion). Lots of lists and information about the fanzines collected here - perhaps you can help out too? [view]
Doctor Who Fanzine Database - An online history/record of all the known Doctor Who fanzines that have been published over the years. An interesting site covering publications that some have argued have been superceded by the web. [view]
Please be aware that we do not respond to every request that we add a link to these pages. This is not because we don't like a suggested site but that the listings here are in no way a comprehensive list and will not be regularly added to. We are also usually too busy maintaining and adding content to this site!
With this in mind, it may be better not to ask to be included in this list (as we've found in the past that our not replying can unintentionally offend).
If you would like to link to the Cuttings Archive and are looking for a suitable link image to use on your site there are a number of graphics to choose from on our Link To Us page.
