REPRINTING ...

Telos's acclaimed guide to the original series of Terry Nation's SURVIVORS is now out of stock. We are looking to reprint this in the next couple of months, but people who order it in the mean time will have to wait until we have copies available again. Hopefully this won't be too long.

We have just received finished copies of Mark Ward's brilliant guide to TILL DEATH US DO PART. Copies of A FAMILY AT WAR will be despatched to those who have ordered it very shortly.

I'm still chasing the reprints of THE TARGET BOOK and HOWE'S TRANSCENDENTAL TOYBOX UPDATE No 2 and as soon as I have more news, I'll add the information here.

BLACK TIDE MOVIE


The movie of Del Stone's superlative horror novella BLACK TIDE is moving closer to reality.

A website has now been created to promote the project, called SHALLOWS.

REPRINTS UPDATE

I have been told that THE TARGET BOOK will be despatched from India around the middle of August, and so we would expect to receive copies around the end of September.

TOYBOX UPDATE No2 is still in the design stage and I expect now that we won't have finished copies until some time in September.

When we have firmer information as to when we will get copies of these titles then I'll add it here.

SUMMER SLOWDOWN

Due to various summer holidays and breaks coming up for several members of the hard working Telos team, despatch of orders will be affected off and on throughout August. Please be patient if you place any orders in this period, and we will get to them and have books sent out as soon as we're able to do so.

REPRINTS

I've had a couple of people ask about the status of the reprint editions of some of our titles. I thought it was therefore worth mentioning them here as others might also be wondering ...

First, The Target Book. The reprint for this is underway, but because it is printed in India, we're not certain when we might get finished copies. This could be 6-8 weeks away because of the time it takes to ship them to us. As soon as we get copies, we will be despatching them to those who are waiting.

Howe's Transcendental Toybox: Update No 2: 2004-2005 is also being reprinted, but in this case we want to do the reprint as a full colour book (the original was in black and white). Therefore we are having to re-prepare the files for printing. This is nearly complete, and as soon as we have that sorted, then the book will be off to print. I would conservatively estimate that as being available for despatch in about 4 weeks time, though as this is the first time we'll have prepped a book for full colour printing in this way, there could be unforeseen delays along the way.

As with The Target Book, as soon as we have copies for despatch, they'll be sent out.

FULL COLOUR TOYBOX

HOWE'S TRANSCENDENTAL TOYBOX is the only guide to all DOCTOR WHO merchandise and collectibles. While we are preparing the next update volume (to cover everything released in 2006 and 2007), the UPDATE NUMBER 2 edition, which covers 2004 and 2005, has sold out in its standard edition. Therefore we are using the opportunity to take advantage of new digital printing processes to offer a limited reprint of the book, but in full colour throughout! The original edition was in black and white and, to be honest, we were less than pleased with the quality of the printing. So we hope that this full colour edition will make up for that. This is something of an experiment, to see how well the process works, and how the sales and costings pan out, but if this all goes well, then we also hope to print the next new Update edition in full colour.

As the price of the colour printing is more than black and white, the price of the book has been raised from £7.99 to £12.99, but we believe that this represents incredible value for 161 pages in FULL COLOUR!

BRITISH FANTASY AWARDS LONGLIST

The very wonderful British Fantasy Society have announced their longlist for their annual Awards, and we're delighted and honoured to see that Telos have a few recommendations on there:

Hopefully any members of the BFS who are voting in the awards (and if you're not ... why not!) will consider Telos' titles favourably in their final votes - there is as usual very strong competition from the other small press publishers, as well as some great titles from the major publishers, so the outcome is by no means certain.

Congratulations to everyone who made the long list, and we now wait with bated breath until the results are announced in September at the annual FantasyCon convention in Nottingham.
